Maryalice Valles, LCSW


Maryalice Valles is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker native to San Diego, California. As

a first-generation college student, she completed her bachelor’s in Sociology from San Diego

State University and her master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, San

Marcos. Maryalice has been in the social work field for over 9 years and has worked in a variety

of therapeutic settings, including but not limited to, group homes, child welfare services,

hospitals, substance abuse facilities and community-based mental health programs. Maryalice

believes the dynamic and relationship between therapist and client is essential for therapeutic

process. Maryalice collaborates with her clients to create short term and long-term goals that

feel manageable and realistic. She believes in truly getting to know each of her clients

on a holistic level to develop safety and trust in session. She operates from a trauma informed

and identity affirming lens and believes that therapy is a sacred space for healing and growth.

In her free time, Maryalice enjoys playing soccer, spending time with her kids, traveling and

trying new foods. Maryalice is EMDR trained and offers session both online and in office in both

English and Spanish.

Brittani Williams, LCSW / Founder


Brittani Williams LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Adjunct Professor, Social Work Entrepreneur, Founder of Healmatic Group Practice, Mom and Hip Hop enthusiast.


After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The University of Southern California, she pursued her Master’s in Social Work, at The University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Her clinical training in Southern California consisted of working with behaviorally challenged youth; at schools, group homes and residential care facilities. This experience transitioned into a therapeutic management role in the public-school setting. There she worked to assist school teams with maintaining and improving the overall mental health of students and families.

Brittani has worked over 8 years in the Social Work field, gaining a wide variety of social work and therapeutic experience. As a clinical supervisor, she provides training to pre-licensed therapists in utilizing a variety of treatment modalities and techniques. Now, with a private practice providing individual, couples, family and group therapy she uses her experience as Adjunct Professor to teach Social Work courses, preparing future social workers to enter the field of mental health.

In her free time, she enjoys her husband and 3 kids; creating music, and contributing to the collective work of Hip Hop Therapy.

Desiree Lopez, MSW Candidate

Psychotherapist Intern

Desiree is currently earning her Master’s of Social Work degree from Arizona State University. She graduated from San Diego State University with her Bachelor’s of Social Work and has over 5 years experience working in the Mental Health field. She is bi-cultural with Palestinian and Mexican roots and is a San Diego native. Since graduating, Desiree has made it her mission to help and educate others so they may better navigate the mental health resources that are available to them. Desiree has worked at local community hospitals and serviced clients in the Emergency Department, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient group therapy settings. Within the hospital, Desiree has helped patients navigate mental health resources, assisted in treatment care planning, provided crisis counseling, and facilitated patient admissions and discharges. After graduation, Desiree plans to continue helping others in the mental health field and work toward obtaining her licensure. When she is not studying or working, she enjoys spending time with her English Bulldog, is an avid concert go-er, and loves to travel with her fiancĂ©. Desiree is supervised by Brittani Williams, LCSW and offers therapy in-person and virtual at a slide scale affordable rate.


Alina Navarro, LMFT

 


I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist native to San Francisco. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in clinical psychology at the University of San Francisco. I have collaborated with adults, children and families throughout their healing journeys while working at SF Juvenile Detention Center, non-profits inside the SF County Jails, and in-home services in the community. I also served on the board of SF Children of Incarcerated Parents group and have been part of a Training and Technical Asst. team that travelled across the country providing psychoeducation to our community leaders, law enforcement personnel and corrections officers advocating for the importance of strong healthy connections to support in the face of adversity. On my free time I enjoy cruising around The City with my husband and 2 dogs, cooking comidas Mexicanas with my mom and bump hella music that brings out the ‘pasos prohibidos’!

Esmeralda Zaragoza-Estrada, ACSW



  Esmeralda graduated from California State University San Marcos with her Master’s degree in Social Work and bachelor’s in Criminology & Social Justice Studies. Esmeralda has over 5 years’ experience in the social work field and has worked in many different settings serving a wide range of populations. Following graduation, she began clinical training as a psychiatric emergency department social worker at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, assisting children and families in crisis by providing counseling, resources, and assisting them in navigating the mental health system. She has also worked in community mental health settings as an outpatient social worker servicing family’s and at-promise youth in foster care, group home settings, and residential treatment facilities. She is trained in a variety of treatment modalities and clinical interventions and is a firm believer in culturally humility and human connection. Esmeralda works to support and guide individuals in a manner that is conducive to change, advocacy, equity and happiness. She is empathetic but will challenge her clients to step outside of their comfort zone and work to meet their goals in treatment. She utilizes a holistic framework that helps address individuals biological, psychological and social and environmental needs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, going on hikes, and binge-watching a good Netflix series with a bowl of popcorn.


Esmeralda offers sessions in both English and Spanish and is currently accepting new clients online and in person.
